It’s no secret – there is power in numbers. When workers mobilize to form a union, they are making a statement that fair wages, benefits and working conditions matter. Union members typically earn 30 percent more than their non-union counterparts. Sixty eight percent of union members receive guaranteed pensions and 97 percent of them have jobs that provide healthcare coverage (compared to 14 and 85 percent for non-union employees, respectively).

A collectively bargained union contract affords you legal protections you otherwise would not have. Non-union workers are “at will” employees, which means they can be disciplined or terminated for any reason. Under a collective bargaining agreement, management must have “just cause” before taking any disciplinary action against a worker.

The time for action is NOW. Using the form below, please contact IBEW Local 300 today to confidentially explore organizing a union at your workplace. IBEW Local 300 represents employees from various sectors, including construction, utilities, telecommunications, municipal and manufacturing.

It is also suggested that you read organizing resources provided by the IBEW and the AFL-CIO. These materials will give you a clear idea of why unionizing is so important to the prosperity of our country.
