solar training

This is a career, not just a job.

The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 300 and the Vermont Joint Apprenticeship and Training Council offer Vermont’s finest electrical apprenticeship.  After completing our rigorous five-year program, which includes 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and at least 900 hours of related classroom study, apprentices are able to test for their journeyman electrical license.

Our trained electricians perform installation and maintenance for commercial office buildings and all complexes, including petrochemical, pulp and paper plants, oil refineries, power houses, retail stores, hospitals and manufacturing plants.  Types of work include electrical power and lighting systems, fire alarms, power distribution and metering systems, motor control and programmable logic controllers, backup power generation systems, solar photovoltaic technology and more. Curriculum follows an outline developed by the IBEW's National Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee.

Now more than ever, it is crucial to position yourself on a stable career path with advancement opportunities.  An IBEW Local 300 electrical apprenticeship affords you that chance.  Our apprentices earn competitive wages, employer-paid health insurance and retirement benefits while they learn.
